TO THE CABIN

Next week, Saint Bernadette will head to a lakeside cabin in an undisclosed location to rehearse for their 2nd album planned for release in 2009 (yes, another one!). The new album will be entitled COVER THY NEIGHBOR and features the greatest songs that we could find from our divinely talented friends and neighbors. We feel completely comfortable telling you that this album is all hit songs because we did not write any of them. This diverse list includes compositions from great existing, extinct and never quite alive bands and songwriters including Jar-e, Shangk, The Zambonis, Peter Machera, Geremy Jasper, Diplodocus, Jargon Society, the Park City Pimps and more.

Happy 4th of July Weekend everybody!

UP ON THE ROOF

Hit us up for the guest list, everybody! In these economic times, you can hardly turn down free drinks and food in view of the Empire State Building, reflecting the glory of the smarter, harder working people of the past? Especially if you can enjoy this while listening to an acoustic set from your favorite patron saints?

Don't miss our FREE show tomorrow night on the rooftop of the Atlas Building. We can put 100 lucky fans on our guest list, so hit us up soon, the list is nearly full!

Saint Bernadette will make a pilgrimage to New York City to mercifully celebrate the release of their 'Word To The Lourdes' EP (Exotic Recordings 4/14) at Le Poisson Rouge, Wednesday, April 22. As the real-life Saint Bernadette was the patron saint of poverty, we will continue to make good on our namesake's commitment to charitable works by passing around a collection plate at their New York City and Connecticut shows during their song "He's a Collector."

Donations will go to a variety of noble causes including relief efforts for the DiMenna's family's hometown of L'Aquila, Italy, recently devastated by earthquake; New York artist Tara Meadows' forthcoming photography book focused on the homeless; and other praiseworthy endeavors.

See below for tour dates and more.

Saint B rocks for charity

Of course we do! That's the Lord's work after all. We're just lucky that it also happens to be fun.

Special thanks to C Bro at the 107.1 The Peak, Travis at Red Lotus, and Paul at Rock Island Sound for giving us the opportunity to play a great show to a great crowd at the Rack n Roll Cafe in Stamford with our new bffs KAISER CARTEL.

Visit the NEXT MUSIC website for pics and mp3s.
